ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION RECEIVES AIR QUALITY AWARD
Green Star, an Anchorage-based nonprofit organization dedicated to rewarding waste reduction, pollution prevention, and energy conservation efforts, has awarded the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation the Green Star Air Quality Award for commitment to clean air in Anchorage. Companies must comply by at least twelve of the eighteen Air Quality Standards to receive the Award. The ADEC is the third company in Anchorage to receive the Award, following the USAF 3rd CRS Propulsion Flight and the University of Alaska Anchorage. The ADEC will be given this prestigious Award today, April 30, 2001, at the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce Make it Monday Forum at the 4th Avenue Theater.
